Writing a term paper is not a simple task. Not every student can do their term paper assignment easily. Perhaps it is true that for some students, the term paper assignment is an easy task. I am running a small business and I have a business logo that fully justifies my business. But I have gone through a lot for this small piece of art. I didn’t know much about the logo designing so I just ordered a website logo design company without much searching about their history and reputation in the market resulting in a total devastation of my logo. The logo which was delivered to me was very carelessly made that I decided to search for ... [read more]

Mark O'Neil posted Mobile Computing Anyone?

I am keen on having a conversation at OSDIII (or anytime for that matter) around application ideas which work well on a variety of platforms (desktop/browser/mobile) with a focus on targeting the iPhone/iTouch platform. I would like to see the same applications - or data provided - be available on my iTouch via an app, my Desktop via an app, and a browser via a service or CMS/System extension.

Malcolm Murray: This might be a good candidate for Andrew Martin's web services tool?
Mark O'Neil: Absolutely - in fact the architecture of an application I am currently building will (at least it is my current thinking that it will) rely somewhat heavily on Andrew's web services. Also I should have an authN/authZ model based on device Id-account ... [read more]
Kevin Borgeson: I was thinking the same thing, Andrew's web services would be core to making this work in a variety of environments. Mark, have you checked out the Open Laszlo Project (http://www.openlaszlo.org/)? It allows you to generate both Flash & DHTML code fr... [read more]

Heather Natour posted SIMILE Timeline

The SIMILE project is an open source project conducted by MIT. http://simile.mit.edu I created a building block that integrates their timeline as a content item in Blackboard. The current version I did is very rudimentary, but there are tons of things that could be done to integrate external or Blackboard data into the timeline, make use of more features from the timeline apis, etc.

Peter Hanley: That's really cool - is it available for download somewhere? =P I'd like to throw it on our beta system and check it out.

I'd be interested to know more about what you mean by a "Simile Timeline", sounds fascinating!

Stephen Vickers posted Building Blocks or PowerLinks?

I would find it really interesting if everyone could say in their profile whether they develop Building Blocks or PowerLinks (or something else or nothing). I am keen to make contact with other PowerLinks developers, as well as look at projects for joint development on both platforms.

FYI, we've used Open Space Technology for both of the first two meetings. We had lots of positive feedback. Open Space Technology is not a hardware or software solution. OST is a meeting solution whose modus operandi is participation. It's fun!

Just what is Open Space Technology (the methodology used at OSD meetings)?
